Our online store provides a secure credit card payment solution powered by CIB Bank. Security is ensured by the separation of data. The Webshop receives information related to the order from the buyer, while CIB Bank exclusively handles the payment transaction data on a payment page secured with 256-bit TLS encryption. The Webshop does not have access to the content of the payment page, only CIB Bank can access it. After the payment, the Webshop page informs you about the transaction result. To make a card payment, your web browser must support TLS encryption.
The amount paid for the purchased goods/services is immediately blocked on your card account. Please read our detailed guide!

Security
TLS, or Transport Layer Security, is an accepted encryption protocol. Our bank operates with a 256-bit encryption key to secure communication channels. The company VeriSign allows CIB Bank to use this 256-bit key, which ensures TLS-based encryption. Currently, 90% of global electronic commerce transactions use this encryption method. The buyer’s browser encrypts the cardholder’s details using TLS before sending them, ensuring that unauthorized individuals cannot interpret them.
Accepted Cards
CIB Bank’s online payment system accepts Mastercard/Maestro, VISA, and VISA Electron (if the issuing bank allows its use online) bank cards, as well as web cards designed for online transactions.

PAYMENT PROCESS
How does the online payment process work?
After selecting the credit card payment option on the merchant/service provider’s website, the buyer initiates the payment and is redirected to the bank’s secure payment page. The buyer must enter their card number, expiration date, and the 3-digit security code from the back of the card. The buyer then starts the transaction, and the card undergoes real-time authorization, checking for validity, balance, and spending limits. If all details are correct, the issuing bank temporarily reserves the payment amount. The actual charge on the account takes place within a few days, depending on the issuing bank.

Technical issues:
– If you did not return to the merchant/service provider’s site from the payment page, the transaction is unsuccessful.
– If you clicked “Back,” “Reload,” or “Refresh” on the payment page, the system automatically cancels the transaction for security reasons.
SECURITY
What is the VeriSign 256-bit TLS encryption?
TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a widely used encryption protocol. CIB Bank uses a 256-bit encryption key to secure communication channels. VeriSign enables CIB Bank to use this encryption, which is applied in 90% of online transactions worldwide. Before transmitting, the buyer’s browser encrypts the cardholder’s data with TLS, making it unreadable to unauthorized parties.
What is the CVC2/CVV2 code?
For Mastercard, it is the Card Verification Code; for Visa, it is the Card Verification Value. It is a numeric code on the magnetic stripe of the card used to verify authenticity. The CVC2 code is the last three digits of the number found on the back of the card.
What is Verified by Visa?
Verified by Visa allows Visa cardholders to register a password with their issuing bank, which they use for authentication during online purchases. This system provides extra security against unauthorized card use.
What is Mastercard SecureCode?
Mastercard SecureCode allows Mastercard/Maestro cardholders to register a password with their issuing bank, providing an extra layer of security for online transactions.
